What It Does
There's a toggle in your Settings called "Allow support access." When you turn it on, our support team can view your family dashboard. This helps us see exactly what you're seeing so we can diagnose issues faster.
It's completely optional. It's off by default, and it stays off until you decide to turn it on.
How to Enable It
Turning it on (or off) takes one tap:
- Go to Settings.
- Find "Allow support access" and tap the toggle.
That's it. One tap on, one tap off. No confirmation screens, no hoops to jump through.
What Support Can See
When you enable this, our support team can see your dashboard view only. That includes your items, events, tasks, and FYIs -- the same things you see when you open the app.
Here's what support cannot see:
- Your emails
- Your Google account
- Your password
- Any data outside your SuperDuper dashboard
You're always in control. Turn this off anytime and our access is revoked immediately.
When to Use It
Turn this on when you contact support about something specific, like:
- Missing items that should have been picked up from your email
- Extraction issues where details are wrong or incomplete
- Display problems where something looks off in the app
Once your issue is resolved, you can turn it back off. Or leave it on if you prefer -- it's entirely up to you.
