Who You Can Invite

A family account supports up to 5 people. Common ones:

  • Your co-parent or partner. The single biggest upgrade. Both inboxes in, nothing siloed.
  • A nanny, babysitter, or au pair. Anyone the school or activity organizer might email about drop-off or pickup.
  • A grandparent. When they're on the CC list for the Tuesday practice, their email still lands in your picture.
  • Anyone else in your caregiving circle. Step-parents, aunts and uncles, a family friend who helps with schedules.

How to Invite

  1. Go to Settings and tap Invite Parents & Caregivers.
  2. Enter their email address, first name, and last name.
  3. Tap Send Invite.

They'll get an email from SuperDuper with a link to join your family. When they tap it, they're walked through signup and through connecting their own Gmail.

Why It Works Even When They Don't Log In

Accepting the invite and connecting their Gmail is the point of this whole thing. After that, whether they open the app again or not, their emails are already feeding your shared dashboard.

The coach who CCs only one parent. The school that emails only one address. Those stop being blind spots the moment both inboxes are in.

Tip

If your partner is the one who gets most of the school email, you'll want them to invite you instead. The result is the same either way — but whoever creates the family first is the person who has to invite everyone else.

What Everyone Sees

Everyone in the family has their own login and sees the same shared family dashboard:

  • Events, tasks, FYIs, and activities pulled from every connected inbox in the family.
  • The same underlying picture, so changes one person makes sync to everyone else.
  • Their own app experience, so they can organize and interact with the dashboard however works for them.

What they can't see is your actual email content. SuperDuper surfaces the schedules, deadlines, and to-dos — it doesn't expose anyone's raw inbox to anyone else. Full details are in Shared Family Accounts in the privacy policy.

Managing Your Family

  • Up to 5 people total per family account.
  • Remove someone from Settings. Their access is revoked immediately.
  • Leave the family from Settings if you're no longer part of it. The last active caregiver can't leave — use account deletion instead.
  • Invitations don't expire, so it's okay if your partner needs a week to get to it.
Note

One inbox belongs to one family. If your partner already has a SuperDuper account for a different family, they'll need to leave or delete that family before accepting your invite.
