What to Add
Think of Family Preferences as a way to tell SuperDuper the things it can't figure out on its own. Here are some examples:
- Dietary restrictions and allergies. If your child has a nut allergy or is gluten-free, SuperDuper can flag relevant items like bake sales or snack sign-ups.
- Scheduling rules. Things like "no activities on Tuesdays" or "weekends only for organized sports."
- Communication preferences. How you prefer to be notified, and what you care about most.
- Family rules about activities. Limits on how many activities per week, or rules about screen time, travel distance, or costs.
How to Edit
Setting up your preferences takes just a minute:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Family Preferences.
- Tap Edit and type in anything you want SuperDuper to know.
- Tap Save when you're done.
Write in plain language. No special format required. For example:
"No swim on Tuesdays (piano lessons). Emma has a nut allergy. Weekends only for organized sports. Max two activities per kid per week."
You can update your preferences anytime. Come back and add more as you think of things.
How It's Used
SuperDuper uses your preferences to filter and prioritize incoming items. If you've said "no activities on Tuesdays," and a Tuesday event pops up, SuperDuper can flag the conflict. If you've noted an allergy, it'll pay closer attention to food-related items.
Your preferences don't block anything from showing up. They help SuperDuper understand what matters most to your family so it can organize things more intelligently. For one-off corrections, you can also use Improve Relevancy on individual items.
