Download the App
Start here. The app is where SuperDuper works best. You'll get push notifications for time-sensitive changes, Face ID or fingerprint unlock, and a tap-and-you're-in experience from your home screen.
You can also use SuperDuper in a browser at superduper.family, but we recommend the app — it's how you'll actually remember to come back.
Connect Your Gmail
The first thing SuperDuper asks you to do is connect your Gmail account. This is how it finds your family's schedule buried in all those school newsletters, coach updates, and activity reminders.
SuperDuper only reads emails from schools, coaches, and activity organizers. It skips your work emails, personal conversations, and everything else that isn't related to your kids.
Connect the Gmail account that gets most of your kids' school and activity emails. You can always add another account later.
Discover Your Family
Once your email is connected, SuperDuper scans your inbox to find your children, their schools, and their activities. This usually takes about 2-4 minutes.
You don't need to enter anything manually. SuperDuper pieces together who your kids are, where they go to school, and what activities they're involved in -- all from the emails you've already received.
If you tap Stop before the scan finishes, or if discovery doesn't find your family, you'll be taken to a manual-entry screen where you can add your children by hand. From there, you can tap "Try discovery instead" if you'd like to let it run.
Review and Edit
After the scan, you'll see a summary of what SuperDuper found. Take a minute to look it over. You can edit names, correct ages, and add any children that might not have shown up in your emails.
This step matters because it helps SuperDuper organize everything by the right kid. The more accurate this is, the better your dashboard will be.
Invite Your Co-Parent
Head to Settings and tap "Invite Parents & Caregivers." Enter your partner's email and name, and they'll get an invitation to join your family's dashboard.
When they connect their Gmail too, SuperDuper combines information from both inboxes. That means nothing falls through the cracks, even if one of you gets emails the other doesn't.
Your co-parent sees the same family dashboard but through their own login. They can organize things their own way without affecting your view.
Connect Google Calendar
This one is optional but worth doing. When your Google Calendar is connected, SuperDuper can spot scheduling conflicts -- like soccer practice at the same time as a dentist appointment.
You can also add events directly to your calendar with one tap, right from your dashboard. No more copying dates and times by hand.
Explore Your Dashboard
Your dashboard has four main sections, and each one gives you a different way to look at your family's schedule:
- For You -- Your personalized home screen with the most important things right now.
- Upcoming -- Everything organized by when it's happening.
- Explore -- Things your family might be interested in but hasn't committed to yet.
- Activity -- The full firehose of everything that's come through, with filters to find what you need.
