Chatting with SuperDuper
See the chat bubble on your dashboard? That’s your direct line to SuperDuper. Type @superduper followed by whatever you need – a correction, a question, a reorganization – and it just happens. No menus, no settings. Just tell it what you want.
How It Works
- Tap the chat bubble icon on any item or from your dashboard.
- Type @superduper followed by your message in plain language.
- SuperDuper reads your message, figures out what you need, and makes the change.
- You’ll see the update reflected on your dashboard right away.
You don’t need special commands or syntax. Just write like you’re texting a friend. “@superduper this is actually next Thursday, not this Thursday” works perfectly.
Making Corrections
This is the most common use. When something on your dashboard is wrong – a date, a time, a detail, a child assignment – just tell SuperDuper.
- “@superduper Spring Break is next week, not this week”
- “@superduper this practice is at 4pm, not 3pm”
- “@superduper this is Emma’s event, not Lucas’s”
- “@superduper the address is wrong – it’s at Lincoln Park, not Central Park”
- “@superduper this game was cancelled”
For simple corrections like “wrong child” or “not relevant,” you can also use Improve Relevancy in the three-dot menu. But for anything more specific – fixing a date, a time, a location, or any detail – chat is the way to go. Learn when to use Improve Relevancy vs. chat
Renaming and Reorganizing
SuperDuper groups related items into topics (called “matters”). Sometimes you’ll want to reorganize them.
- “@superduper rename this to ‘Emma’s Spring Soccer 2026’”
- “@superduper combine these two items – they’re the same thing”
- “@superduper move this to Emma’s soccer group”
- “@superduper split this into separate events for each game”
- “@superduper this doesn’t belong here – it’s about band, not soccer”
Removing Duplicates
When the same event shows up twice (maybe from two different emails), just tell SuperDuper.
- “@superduper these two are the same event”
- “@superduper delete the duplicate – keep the one with the correct time”
SuperDuper merges the information and keeps the most accurate version. If both have useful details, it combines them.
Asking Questions
You can also ask SuperDuper questions about your family’s schedule.
- “@superduper when is picture day?”
- “@superduper does Emma have anything on Saturday?”
- “@superduper what’s the address for tomorrow’s game?”
SuperDuper answers based on everything it knows from your emails and dashboard. It’s like having a personal assistant who’s actually read every email.
Tips for Great Results
- Be specific. “This is wrong” is harder to act on than “the date should be March 15, not March 8.”
- Reference the item. Chat works best when you start from the item you want to change (tap the chat bubble on that specific item).
- Plain language wins. No need for formal grammar or specific keywords. Write how you’d text a friend.
- One thing at a time usually works better than cramming multiple changes into one message.
The chat bubble on a specific item is the fastest way to make a correction. SuperDuper already knows which item you’re talking about, so you can skip the context.
